Sometimes, I dun really mean to hear things, but somehow, we will hear....
So, I can conclude, every family has a different family theme.
The things that every family tok about are just so different. I wonder what's my family theme.
Hahaha...
Anyway, I am in school again, and again, using the Internet.
Still havent managed to find who's TeleB( The stringest signal that I can receive from my hostel room).
My friends are all talking about touring during the weekends, somethings's holding me back, but I dunno what is it. Arghh...dunno to go or not to go. Anyway, I think I should, since I am here, but in the beginning of the semester?
Heck lah, think about it again.
Ooo, went for a bus tour that day. The bus outside our hostel. Went up the place I see every morning. The houses on the mid-mountains. Haha, dunno correct expression not...but whatever...nice and cooling...haha..then we took the other way back to some place called Snaroya, but Missy prefers to call it Sayonara. Haha...And we finally passed by this place Fornebu..Just pronounce it this way. FOR-NE-BU. Funny name.
And we were busy following the pronounciation on the bus. Coz they will say the name of the next busstops, so we are just mimicking the way the recorder pronouces it. And my favourite.
"Aker Sykehus". And the strange thing is, I managed to get the pronounciation of this faster than I got our hostel's name.
Bjerke.
Dont bother trying, coz you cannot get it right, unless you know it.
The nearest English words are, bay-a-cake.
It's now 1:31pm here and I dunno what else to do le...Just talked to Daddy and they are going to Dr Yeo's today..hehe...Getting medicine for me too. Not for something, but just for pimples. Coz I dunno why lah, got this breakout when I was touring...perhaps coz I never apply any moisturizer, coz I forgot to bring along...hehe...so my face was practically drying up...Everyone is saying that their complexion got better when they are here. Funny me...Trying to be different from the rest...haha
Been accompanying my 2 missys shopping the past few days...haha...not too much entertainment for me here. Maybe I should get my powerboat licence here....haha, but think they are conducted in Norwegian...haiz...
Finally, I can resist no more, got my mum to send me biscuits from Singapore!
Got her to send my fave Arnott's tartlets, Julie's peanut butter biscuits and also the Tim Tam Choc. Besides, also got them to send me lotsa stuffs...like say, my extra jacket, more moisturizer, masque or mask(dunno the difference), belt, snickers!!!
OMG, i miss my crunchy almond snickers!
There's really so many things to say, that I dunno what to say.
So crazy~
And like I said, havent been taking much photos in Oslo, so maybe when I start touring again.
During the weekends. But it seems that I will not have a long weekend le...haha, coz I just decided to take a PE. Organization and Chnage, which is on Friday. At least it gives me something to do on Friday, rather than doing nothing in the hostel, lazing around and staring at a laptop that has no Internet. Probably that EC Leong is right, Internet has become a very important part of life.
What's a computer without internet?
Nothing!
OHHH, just recalled something.
The fire alarm was triggered last night while I was in Xiao shan's room, and the best thing, I was in T-shirt and shorts. So what's the first thing you do when the fire alarm goes off? YOu evacuate. And so, I was downstairs, suffering in the cold with T-shirt and shorts, To add on, I was holding a box of biscuits and a packet of Milo, so orbit...And that Missy had to come down looking so warm and nice, in jeans and long sleeves.Haiz...天渊之别。
Listening to this very nice song that I kop-ed from Missy last night. It's by Dreamz FM, their nicest song, other than Together, with Evelyn Tan. Haha.
Oh, and if you are a bee lover, you can come to Norway, where you can get up close with Mr Bee. He will come when you are cooking and start whispering sweet-nothings into your ears. If you enjoy that, leave the doors to your ears wide open, otherwise, shut all the windows and doors!
Perhaps I will go to Bergen next weekend. Hmm, but that would mean missing the first lesson of my PE. Haiz...
Right, something that I am pondering now.
Is anyone really reading this?
Most people are just liek looking at the fotos. Pictures really do trigger interest, but it doesnt make people read everything that you type.
Okie, I think I am done for the day, dont think people will have the patience to read everything here.
Maybe what pig said is true, it's time to let go. Maybe I should learn to let go of stuffs that I shouldnt hold on to and stay unhappy.Hmm, being unhappy in a beautiful place dont feel good, coz you are cheerful on the outside and unhappy on the inside.
Alright, for updates.
Nothing to update on, actually.
Lesson's just as boring;
Lift in the hostel is always spoiling;
I am always waiting;
Life without the Internet is nvr interesting;
Everyday, we are cooking.
I think I will really miss the scenery outside my room and the pantry when I go back to Singapore, but at least, I have all my fave stuffs there.
I will write down a list of stuffs I wanna eat, so pple, take ya pick, okie.
I want treats when I go abck to Singapore.
HAHAHA.
Sian, in school waiting again.
Haiz, my parents ditched me for Auntie Judy. They dont wanna tok to me!!!!!!! Cries out loud!!!!
Anyway, went on a little date with Missy the other day. At last, Jaya is out, leaving only the 2 of us...wahaha....Missy should know why~~~
Was supposed to be a night out, but we ended up in one of the supermarkets near our neighbourhood. We are becoming so 'auntie', going to supermarkets everyday and checking out prices....haha.
Havent been taking much photos in OSlo, since we have a long 4 months to do so.
But here are some nice photos.
This is the scenery from our pantry, always admiring the nice view dring dinner and lunch. Everywhere looks so peaceful.
And this is one of the photo that Missy took during the 40nok boat trip.
It's all the same for 2 hours. Looking at the same things over and over again.
But these are the bathing houses of their summer house. Things are so expensive here and people are still able to afford a summer house.
Missy found out that the average salary here is about 100nok per hour. So that is about 25SGD per hour. And that will be to say you earn at least 1000SGD per week, if you work 7 hours a day. WOW!
And this would be me and Missy. Look at our excited faces before the boat trip.
And after the boat trip, we dont even have the mood to take any other photos.
Photo of our first ever home cooked meal. Looks quite good, aint it~~~
Forgot to upload a photo of my school.
Very nice campus. NTU should be like dat.
Woohoo! In Missy's room updating my blog now....damn cool lah...her room got internet...haha...
Alright, to continue from yesterday, I should update on Venice now.
The coolest thing I saw in Venice is their masks...so beautiful and I just cant stop looking at them...and I bought one for San yi, so tempted to take it home and then buy her another pressie...haha..so pretty...
And Venice really looks like what you see in the pictures...it is just as beautiful if not more.
They even have a speed limit for the boats. So cool!
And also, to officially introduce my 2 pretty travelmates. Missy and Jaya.
So pretty! I miss Venice. But you can finish touring the whole island in a day, well, at least we did.
Another beautiful picture of Venice.
Artistic photo that Missy took.
Some girly foto~~~Just to share the joy..wahaha
Me and my pretty roomie again...
The multilinguist that we met on our train to Milan. Very knowledgable boy from Columbia, who's on a Europe tour with his grandmother.
Milan, the fashion city. But everything's closed. Dunno why also.
That's Leonardo at the back, but dunno Leonardo what. Da Vinci?
A very pretty cathedral, I think Duomo...haha, I also not sure.
Self potrait of the 3 of us...so cool. All of us inside.Haha, Missy's camera's screen can can swiveled, so we can see.haha.
The quiet street of Milan.
Gotta wash my hands, coz I accidentally touched some pigeon shit on the bench.
The last photo of our trip. I was feeling giddy, and still forced to take a picture. They wouldnt even let me take my medicine. Cruel travelmates!
I forgot to upload pictures of the airport. Hehe, so here's one last foto with my lovely parents!
Just had a very filling lunch. Missy can cook well! So does Jaya! HAHA...
Okie share the net with Jaya liao...so cya!
Wooo...
Finally, I can sit down and update you guys with the photos. Finished resizing and uploading all the fotos with this lousy computer in school...so laggy...worse than my lappy. But the school does have alot of computers up for us to use....haha...
Anyway, there are so many things to update that I do not know where to start.
Okie, will start with this week. We finally managed to go down and get some fresh vegetables and meat for our dinner. Realized I havent been eating well since I got here...erm, except in Venice...haha...
Anyway, dinner was fun and also delicious, at least to m,e, coz finally got home cooked food. Apparently, my darling Elmo is having better food than me everyday. He gets chicken everyday!!!And he still dun wanna eat. Picky fella.
Sch's just started and it's really tiring, even after sleeping at such healthy hours for the past 2 weeks. And yes, I've only left for 2 weeks, and I've got like 4 months more to go....OMG.
Alright, enough of crap and down to the fotos.
This is a photo of my current room and I am living with a very pretty roomie...haha...Will I get NO spice food now?
And this is the view from my room...can see what's pple doing at the bus stop from my room...and the the view in the night is spectacular....haha...room is not as good, but view is definitely GOOD!
On the way to Oslo Torp Airport...WOW.And this is my current desktop wallpaper....So pretty.
And this is beautiful Frankfurt. The Main river in the centre and this is where we go everyday...to see swans, take photos, blah blah....
Another photo of Frankfurt....very nice tower, which we keep saying we wanan go, but nvr go...
And this is the photo of the me walking into the erotic shop in Frankfurt - as claimed by Missy...but it's not lor...she made me take the photo so i gladly obliged, although all 3 of us went into another one...and really...all the stuffs you need for a passionate or 'stormy' night is there....HAHAHA.
Some place which I dunno, but still in Frankfurt.Haha...just take a foto first, find out the place later....haha
The train station where we always get our food. And my pretty roomie...haha...
The orang utan that kept carrying that stack of hay around...quite cute....haha...posing for missy's camera.
That's us with the big LOTI that we bought and we ate it for about 2 days...Value for $...haha
The usual sandwich shop that we patronize almost everyday....haha....
And this is one of my fave photo...the fruit stall in Barcelona...very very pretty....
Seafood stall...
Think I will say flower stall? But no, this is the florist! All along Las Ramblas...
Street performers along Las Ramblas too....very nice...but dont expect all to move when you toss a coin into their cans...some dont, for example, the one in the foto.
They have this very pretty pastry shops all along Barcelona...even in those small streets...so pretty...
Drawings on the wall...
The nude beach....only spotted 2 topless ladies though...and like I said, not really big assets. But it's sth we do not see in SG though.
La Sagrada Familia - started building since 1909 till dunno when....haiz...
And next...the beautiful Venice...but thinkI should update tml, coz my 2 pretty missy-s are very hungry until they cant be hungrier...haha...
I will blog again tml then...
Oh, one last thing, I went for a boring boat trip yesterday...and it costs me 40nok...Arghh
Waiting for Missy to finish her chat...lucky I met Duanwei and he lent me his adaptor...so I can blog again...haha....
Anw, just wanna say, I miss Elmo~~~
But he seems to be having a good time with Mummy and Daddy~~~
Mummy's very hardworking, cleaning his tearstains and brushing his teeth every morning...
Also, he leads a very healthy lifestyle like me...
Sleeping at 12 and waking up at 9.
Just that I am healthier than him...I sleep at 10 and wake up at 730, for the past 10 days....
So boring~~~~Nothing to do in the hostel~~~
Anw, finally managed to talk without worrying about the telephone bills just now....hehe..too bad, my batt died...din manage to talk much to Mummy coz she was busy mopping the floor...but they did report alot of Elmo's stuffs to me...and he's going to party tml~~~
ARGHH~~~~
In case you are wondering, it's 5:57pm in Oslo now.
I am now in the BI campus typing this entry, and coz I forgot to bring my travel adaptor, there is no way my lappy's batt can last me till 4pm, so I have to use the sch's net which has no photos of my trip.
To start off, it was quite a scene at Swensen's on the 6th. Got a whole room to ourselves, with all my family and friends. Overwhelming response. Didnt expect to see pig there, but yet she appeared with the towel that I liked...haha...too bad, I didnt bring it here.
According to calculations, we did not see and feel any sun's rays for more than 12 hours...it was practically dark for the 12hours flight, so I just slept and slept and slept.
When we arrived at Oslo, it was finally bright, but the weather was still cooling, nothing that we've experienced in Singapore before. WOOHOO!!!! The cool weather, but then after about 2 weeks here, it gets a little irritating that you cannot leave your room without a jacket and no shorts for 5 months.
Anw, the hostel was a little disappointing and but it does have a good view. Will post up the photos next time...(One entry with photos and nothing else)
Everything is expensive here in Norway. Even a bus trip of about 6 stops cost 6SGD...Damn ex lah...but the good thing is that, with one ticket, you can travel unlimitedly within an hour. But I finally got the student pass, so it's unlimited travels for a month for 430kroners, about 100plus SGD ba.
Now, to my Europe trip.
Frankfurt's really a very nice place...very peaceful and everywhere is easy to get to(probably due to the location of our hotel). Everything was by the main river and the river is just a 10min walk from our hotel.
*Just a little note: If any of you are intending to come to Europe for a trip, dun ever believe what they say in the websites. When they say 5min walk, take it as a 15min walk.
The river banks has many Victorian style buildings, which I love. And I was in awe everytime I see one. Always very amazed by how pretty these buildings are..and again, photos later.
And we went to the zoo, the monkeys or orang utans are really cute. There's one who would carry a stack of hay around, dunno for what also.
Oh ya, and the hotel we stayed at is really cheap and good. It's called Hotel Europa.
Next on the itinerary, Barcelona. Did not really enjoy Barcelona, probably becoz of the condition of the hostel. (After being pampered at Europa). No breakfast and no private bathroom. And to add on, the bed is creaky...haha
Well, Barcelona seems to have many nice places, but apparently, we did not visit all of them, coz we were only there for 1.5 days, not really enough to visit the most beautiful places....went to the more famous ones though. And the best thing, we did not even know that we are at that place already. But we know one thing for sure, we walked to the beach. And Amanda spotted 2 topless ladies, but apparently, she wasnt satisfied with her find, coz she claimed they were too small. Haha....
Then, it was the best part of the trip. Venice!!!!
Firstly, the flight we took was good, but expensive. Then we lived in a very very nice hotel. Venice Hotel Villa Dori. Though, it wasnt on the island of Venice, they provided shuttle service which was rather convenient, but at a price of 2.50euros per trip per head. The hotel was a surprise, oz it's really very nice and so romantic, and my 2 travelmates got a little bonus. The receptionist, who is quite handsome. On top of it, we got a little free porn on Italian TV. HAHAHA...
And that's when I found out new uses for the vegetables that we often eat.
Again, Venice is really very beautiful. Every photo just looks like a postcard. It looks exactly like what the pictures show. A must see for everyone who visits Italy. Really not regretting skipping Paris and going there, though Paris might be as beautiful, if not more.
I will let the pictures speak for themselves when I post them up.
Finally, our last stop, Milan. After Villa Dori, nothing seems to be as nice. The hotel we stayed at was okay, clean, but quite small. And we were living in 2 seperate rooms. Me and Missy Ong is one, and Jaya alone. Breakfast was rather pathetic as compared to the one we had in Europa.
It was a shock to see the fashion city of the world being so dead and quiet at like about 1pm in the day. Apparently, all the shops were closed till the 23rd Aug, or some even later. So disappointing, cannot feel the classy-ness of the city. But we did manage to visit a castle. However, it was as majestic as I would expect it to be. It's like wow, not WOW....
Alright, it's a long entry and I have to go and tok to my parents now....So, cya!
At 10:40pm tml, I will be able to check in online for my flight.
How fast is that?
Reality really sets in.
I will be gone from home, from my parents, from the place that I've lived in for 21 years.
Well, it's all thse emotions running through me that has caused such a little tremor to me...hehe
Both doctors said that I am overwhelmed by the trip...but it seems like I dun have any particular feelings about the trip.
Shall let time prove everything. Of course, I hope they are right.
And now, updates on my darling Elmo.
Aihui passed me the shirts on Tuesday and they are so cute....I love them on Elmo...hehe..But I havent been able to get photos of them yet..Will try to get it before I fly off, so all of you can admire his dashing looks...haha
He went for a grooming session at one of the highly recommended groomers in Singapore and I am quite satisfied with their service. Only thing is that he has to go there for almost 9 hours. They picked him up at 1130am and sent him back at about 830pm..so long....
But the haircut was really good, though I dont really like the smell on him when he came back...haha
He looks sth like that now...
In his usual sleepy look...
I have a feeling Elmo knows I am going away, coz I have been instilling it in him since May.Haha...Telling him every now and then that I will be going off and he must be a good boy to Mummy and Daddy.
Nowadays he will follow Mummy more than he follows me...sad yet relieved.
And the best thing, for the first time in his life, he did not jump and lick me when Mummy let him into my room!!!! SO SAD!!!!!
He was staring at Mummy and trying to see where she is going....he just went to the corner to sleep when my mum closed the door.....haiz....
Anw,Tuesday was really fun, think I should da pao QY and LP to Norway...so they can be my cooks, and I can also da pao MM...so she can be the sous chef...wahaha....
We spent the whole evening in the kitchen. Started at about 630 and started eating only at about 9...haha..but it was really satisfying...so happy about it...
Thanks pple...now I am going to miss those times...haha...too bad I couldnt taste Elaine's fried rice...we were talking about it and just realized how much I missed that fried rice...so delicious, especially after our tiring PE lessons in JC....
This whole week is filled with friends..Busy meeting everyone for the last time...though not all.
However, Saturday night and Sunday is family day!!!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Missy Ong!
Dont wanna type her full name, coz she shy to go PUBLIC...haha
OT: F.I.R's new album is nice...so go grab yours!!!!
Finally, 2 photos to share.
Amanda says I look like I am strangling him...haha, and I think it's true....wahaha
Elmo playing with the fake foot that we bought for him...at least, our feet are spared.haha
