Oct 29, 2006

I got a call at 412am todae.
It's hard to know what time is it now...coz it's dark. All the way until 820am.
And 820am is before the daylight savings ended.
Daylight saving has officially ended at 3am todae, and it has started in the southern hemisphere.

Alright....
Who called me so early in the morning?

It's pretty Mdm Koh.
And the first thing she said when I picked up the phone was.
"Hello? I buy the red one for you hor~~~"
Now that woke me up...THEY WERE AT SINGTEL!!!!!
"Huh! You are buying it now?"
"Ya.They got silver, white and red."
"So you also think red looks the best?"
"Ya."
"Alamak, I wanted to tell you yesterday that we should buy only when I get back."
"Never mind lah. We buying liao. Ok lah..."
"Wait!!! Check if the camera is good...."
"Huh, how to check?"
*talking to my dad* "Eh, she ask you to check the camera."

And my mum asked the sales person if she could check the camera.

So I continued saying, " I wanted to go back to Sg then buy...see if by that time, the price of K800i got drop not, then I wanna buy that mah...."
"Aiyah, then ask your Daddy dun change fone lor. When you come back, if you dont like this fone, then ask your Daddy to take, and you change to K800i lor...."

And then we ended the call with her saying that my dad is checking the camera.

OMG!!!!
Such lovely parents!
I should get them pretty presents from Norway!!!!
But...haha....Using their money too....hehe

Anw, now I have a SE fone waiting for me at home...
Hehe...and and and~~~~
I am 7 hours behind SG time now....Note the difference!

Haiz~~~What a letdown....no snow in Oslo...Let's look forward to Tuesday then!
Anw, it was still cold todae, so my gloves are officially out!

Have been busy with the assignment the past few days and catching up with SATC the past few nights. Why am I watching it now, when I've downloaded it like ages ago?
Coz more and more pple are watching it~~~ And they are making me get into the mood of watching it too....at this time of the year. And what time of the year is this?
THE EXAM PERIOD.
Hmm, last night was the first night I am spending alone.
I'm not saying that living with Jaya is no good. It's fun too...
Just that after last night, for the first time in my life, I think I am enjoying having the whole house to myself.
Everywhere was silent and I enjoy that silence.
But I still prefer having someone else around. Heee...and that someone is back today...
So I gladly prepared something that I've nvr tried cooking before.
Haha...it smelt quite funny, but it tastes good! Hehe...stewed carrots and chicken, I think...coz we've been eating roasted or steamed chicken for many weeks already, so I think we should have a change. And Ta Dah!!! Stewed chicken with carrots...And she said it looked like curry...hahaha
Oooo, before I forget, I've gotta give credit to Chef Minmin!!! And sous chef, Huiwen!
Xiao shan was still asking me how much I paid Minmin for her to cook fried rice, coz I tell her to cook, then she cook...wahaha...
I feel so honoured! And Huiwen came up as well....hehe, with eggs and sausages.
Felt a little bad, coz as the host, I left them in the kitchen to prepare the stuffs, while I was busy toking to my parents about phones....hehe....
Oh!!! And another thing!
I miss my Sony Ericsson! So when I go back to Singapore, Sony Ericsson is going to have me back as their customer again!!!!
I was browsing through Singtel's website yesterday and I chanced upon SE610i, it looked good and it was cheap, so I told Daddy that I wanted that fone, and immediately, he turned around and told my mum to get it asap and send it over to me...OMG, DADDY!!!!!! You're the best!
And my mum told me to think about it carefully before she goes to buy it.
I just love the 2 of them!!!!!!!!! (Of coz, I am not going to get them to send over, too dangerous and waste money....but I was really touched by that thought!)
My dad really never turn down anything I ask of him since young.
I just have to say what I want and he will go with me to buy and then he will pay for me...
Like the other time, when I was telling him that I wanna get a new cam when I go back...he just said okay, and started discussing with me what camera should we get...hehe...what a lovely dad...Alright, for this, he is granted 2 hours of nagging at me when I go back...hehehe.
But, I've thought about it,rather than leaving the fone as a white elephant, I might as well buy when I go back to Singapore....since I only have about 1.5months left(wooo...so fast!). Maybe by then, the K800i will not be so expensive. And with the K800i, I can make do with the battery sucking camera which is at home now~~~~
Okie, so after telling my parents how to go about buying a new fone, and what fone to buy....
I went to the kitchen to help them with the preparation!
And TADAH!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Simin's fried rice!
I had fried rice that afternn, thanks to Missy who scooped a plate for me the previous day, but I still gladly swooop this down into my tummy...hehe! With the chicken I made, yesterday's meal was GRRRRREATTT!
And now I know the chicken is good!! Coz Huiwen kept saying....*flies into the sky and fluttering my wings.*
And picture taken while the chefs were preparing....
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Didnt dare to take much, coz Minmin said she's not dressed up...hahhaa....later take ugly photos of her, she scold me...haha
And here's us before dinner!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Chose this picture for a simple reason.
All of us look better here!!!! Haha...
I would like to explain why I wanted Minmin to cook for me last night despite the fact that she hasnt started on her assignment....Coz it seems that alot of pple know she's a good cook!!! So I cant let this good cook run off....haha...
Alright, and I had another good meal this afternn~~~
Mr Lwin(another good chef) cooked for me and Desiree.
Though the rice was hard, but it was the first time in many months that I am eating rice cooked with a rice cooker!
Dishes were great too!
We had fried salmon, luncheon meat with paprika, broccoli, oyster sauce and sweet & sour sauce from Amsterdam!
Desiree totally made my spectacles fell!(hahaha...only cheena pple will get the joke)
She had 4! FOUR servings of rice!!!!! Apparently, she dont seem to be eating enough with us for dinners! We shall cook more next time!!! HAHAHA!
Then, they showed me the fast and efficient way of cleaning the table top and it was really good! Too bad we dont have that 'tool'....
Oh, I rmb going down to that pantry when they were making nasi lemak and took this photo outside their room....If you dont mind, I am going to post it here, Mr Lwin and Mr Khairul~~~
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Hehe....
And finally, this would be a nice view under the setting sun~but taken with a amazingly lousy cam~

The Royal Observatory, home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian line. You can stand on both the Eastern n Western hemisphere by placing your feet on either side of the prime meridien line. The Royal Observatory is also the source of the Prime Meridian of the world, Longitude 00'0''. Every place on the Earth is measured in terms of its distance east or west from this line. The line itself divides the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth - just as the Equator divides the northern and southern hemispheres.

I have nothing to do now~~~
Was supposed to meet my cooking gang to go to the central later...but it was too rushing for me and them, so din go and meet them...so I am stuck in school, waiting for my parents, coz I will not be able to talk to them for the next 6 days...

Coz, I will be leaving for London tomorrow morning~~~

Anw, I was just reading through the PSS related articles and I cam across this article, whereby the reporter interviewed some applicants and this really triggered me....

- XXX Hu, 21, Part-time Mechanical Engineering student at Singapore Polytechnic
I swear I would totally believe it if someone tells me XXX is an actress planted into the auditions to take the mockery out of me. But it has already been 48 hours later and no one has told me I'm on Candid Camera, so it means XXX is real. God help us.

She was a real bag of confusion and contradictions, this XXX. First, she shoved my colleague rudely and told her to "Zou kai, bu yao dang lü! (Go away, don't block the way!)", and when I questioned her about it later, she insisted that it was the security guard who did it. (A case of spirit possession?)
After our interview, she lingered over me with sob stories of how worried she is over getting her exam results slip this week, how she has been rejected in every job interview she goes to, how bad her English is and she practically implored me to rephrase her broken-English interview into perfect English. (You mean like, writing "very long queue" instead of your "long very queue" and "I was so nervous that I asked the judges to give me one minute to wash my face in the toilet" instead of your "I was so nervous I wash the toilet"?)

Okay, XXX, your interview here is written in grammatically and linguistically error-free English.

Hahaha....
Her name has been changed to save her the embarassment of having being laughed at by pple who read my blog...hehehe.

I think the most touching thing that can happen between 2 persons is the telepathy that they share.

Hmm, be it with your parents, your friends, your spouse or whoever....
It's not easy to find someone who has this with you, so when you've found that person, try your best to keep this person close to you.
It's not being selfish, it's treasuring that person, coz you do not know who is the next, or will you ever meet the next person.

However, if this person is not meant to be close to you, then we should let go~~~
Everyone knows that letting go is difficult, but when this person is causing you too much sorrow, perhaps it's time to let go. When this person has found someone else who can make him/her happier, let go and let him/her find their own happiness, we should not be a hindrance.

Some things are just not meant to be.
There's no point trying to make it right again, coz it will not be right again.
We do not have tools in Sims to help.
Perhaps, the only thing that we have in reality is time.

It's 1141 pm now...19more minutes and the day will be over...
So, in this 19minutes, I am going to tell a story of one of my friend who has made my life in university more enjoyable than it can ever be~~~

Hehe....
I shall start with the first effective comm lesson when I met her.
It was our first lesson of the semester and you were telling me about how you went for your elective class on the food nutrition thing, and how you decided to drop it.
I was just toking to Desiree today about how we met and got to know each other and ooo, it's through you~~~

Okie, then nothing much, dunno when we exchanged numbers and msn, but I supposed it just happened.
And then, we were in the same OB group and also did our effective comm project together.
I still remembered we did Falling Leaves, right? And I still have the report with me....And your room was the first hostel room that I ever stepped into and when I was there, I think Jax and Cindy were doing their project as well...hehe.
Anw, to our OB group.
We really had lots of fun, from nothing to something...I miss all those meetings that we have~~
Broken tail, Miss mole green, blah blah~~

Hmm, what's next, there's just too many things that I cant remember....

Let's proceed to Sem 2 then.
We pon class together...hehe, and did more projects together.
OH!!!!
I remember I had to intro you to the George Bonaventure guy...our B.Law tutor, coz you lost your voice on the first lesson.
Then came Mr Thousand Happiness. And Eddy~
And, I surprised you with my iPod and DVD-writer~

And then we did not meet for another 6weeks, and now, we are in Year 2!
And Eddy's back with more action!!!! With his usual - 'Please allow me to explain~~~"
*Smiles*
This time, Mr Thousand Happiness came with another guy. A guy who confuses us with all the Matrix stuff and laughing at his own jokes.
And, we pon even more lessons!
And I still remember how we used to msn each other in forensic science lecture, with the most kua zhang being the merlion one.
So, did we meet at the fourth lampost in Norway?
Seriously, I really wanna thank you for listening to me whenever I tok about the doggy issue and always cheering me up with all your msn drawings whenever I feel down...
I was really very touched!
And thanks for being so excited for me throughout the whole thing.
Muacks!

Year 2 sem 2!!!
We ponned even more classes!!!!!
And we got all excited about our exchange programme and we keep discussing about it~~~
Like how we were going to cry when we are at the airport, what places we wanna visit, what we going to do in Norway and the list just goes on~~~
And I just love talking to you about dogs!!! Hehe, coz you are on dog lover too!!!!
Not forgetting stressing ourselves out in Chee Han's and Djeni's lessons!!!!

Finally, I would like to say THANK YOU for making my life more colourful(than it already is..hehe) for the past 2 years and I've really enjoyed your company all this while.

Here's a list of what the THANK YOU is for.
- For reminding me not to spend so much on Elmo.
- For entertaining me on MSN, anytime, anywhere.Especially during the exam periods.
- For entertaining me in class when the lecturer's boring.
- For tahan-ing my rubbish and crappy jokes.
- For lending me notes when I dont go to school.
- For always visiting my blog and tagging.
- For my dosage of Friendster testimonial every exam period.
- For my enjoyable Europe Trip.
- For always warming up my bed.
- For all the delicious dinners.
- For instilling in me that we should have 2 servings of vegetables daily.

And I dunno what else.
And I am really sorry if I've offended you in any way...coz I really dont mean it~~~hehe

Okie, it's now 1230am, and I haben posted this yet~~~Hahaha.
I hope you like your birthday surprises and may all your wishes come true and may you stay pretty and witty always and may you get married off before you are 26...hahaha...

WORK RISE SERVE
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

My secondary school motto.
I was just reminded of the good old days in WRSS when I was toking to Evvon last night and she was telling me about how Deb's engagement party felt like secondary school.

How I miss these moments....

The time when we cheered for the boys when we had our first ever sports meet in the WRSS field.
The time when we made Mdm Chan cried.
The time when the girls got jealous of Ms Tan, while the boys were jealous of Mr Raj.
The time when Mrs Lim-Yap 'vibrated' herself to show us how the particles in liquids vibrated.
The time when Soe carried Esther and fell down and injured himself.
The time when we stayed in school till 6plus to rehearse for the drama competition - The Egyptians, and I broke my name tag, coz Yanling did not want to direct the play anymore.
The time when Chee Boon came out too soon in the play and Hana made everything right.
The time when everyone just suddenly offered to help out in the drama.
The time when Hidayat scolded Ms Ashidah 'Bitch' in Lit class.
The time when we tricked Mdm Geetha that Norisha and someone else(I forgot) got into a fight and got called into Miss Cheah's office on Teachers' Day.
The time when we chit chatted during the CME exam.
The time where I got scolded by Wai Lun for painting the swordfish dark blue instead of black.
The time when we collected mineral bottles' labels on the National Education Week to make the clams in the sea.
The time when we used cornflakes wrappers to make out the words - THE OCEAN.
And I can never forget the moment when Ms Ashidah came in, took down her specs and said "I'm impressed."

And those were the days....

The days where we always come to school at 615 to finish up our banners, which we are always so proud of.
The days where we competed with 2-2 to get the Best Class award.
The days where we just played around during English and Literature classes.
The days when we thought everyone was bullying Ms Ashidah.
The days when we thought Mdm Timah was a hypocrite.
The days when we were so against Miss Cheah.
The days when we will always sneaking around at the back and eating the food we cooked in Home Ed classes in Mr Soong's classes.
The days when we had to 'siam' Mr Soong's saliva.
The days when I always say that Esther looks like Ivy Lee.
The days when we had to present an article during Chinese classes.
The days when we will always have tea during lessons.
The days when we always had to help Mrs Ngoh and CLDDS.
The days when we were always involved in Mid-Autumn celebration.
The days when we had to endure the Guzheng players play the same song every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The days when we have to search Ms Ashidah's table to look for our stuffs, and just when we thought Mdm Geetha would be better, she turned out to be as messy. And how we will always get scolded by them for tidying up their tables.

And I can never forget...
The time when she got so angry and made all of us stand up and told us what she expected us to get for English for the O's.
The time when we sang 'If Life Is So Short'.
The time Mdm Aishah talked to us in Home Ed class.
The time when she cut her hair and came to school after many days of absence.
The time when she talked to us about loving our family and friends.
The time she gave out worksheets to us individually.
The time we wrote her a letter to tell her that we will always be there for her no matter what happens and she told us she's fine.
The time when we were told to go to the AVA room suddenly and all the HODs came in, and we just started crying.
The time when I went into the hall and hugged Peiwen and she told me, "Everything's alright."

And our cheers and theme songs...
Our last minute theme song.
Our NP cheers which were taught by Lydia and Ah Gong.

Finally, I would like to say that I really miss those days~~~ And I am so looking forward to Deb's wedding dinner~~~~

Happy belated Mid-Autumn Festival!!!!
Too bad, I cant stay in Singapore to feast on my zhu zai peng...haiz....I love them sooooo much.
Every year during this time, I will be down with sore throat, coz I eat too much of those...haha, but this year...NOTHING!!!
Haiz...

BUT...
I had a very enjoyable night too!!!
We had a mini (or is it not, since all 40+ of us were there) celebration in the common room on the 13th floor....It was a potluck session and every cooking group gotta contribute something...and we made chicken wings, though I did not help much, coz basically, dun need much preparation too...haha....

Anw, our fellow Chinese classmates were really cool, they made wontons for us as a surprise!!! But they look more like dumplings to me.( And to Elaine: it's shui jiao, not zong zi hor).
And, Cindy and her group made really nice fried vegetarian wontons too!! I just love them, ate quite a number....ooops! Other groups also provided stuffs like steamed egg, chips, ice cream and finger food(which were nicely served!)
And of coz, we had lanterns!!! Thanks to our dear classmates who are in Singapore. They pooled some money and sent us some lanterns and candles....so sweet of them!

So, we decided to go for a walk to the nearby park...with our lanterns and we were doing funny cheers...for example, their level 4 cheer....then it developed into Yam Seng, and we almost woke the whole building up....haha, people were looking out of their windows, but WE DONT CARE...we continued singing and cheering....
Sang a really wide range of songs, from National Day songs, to Chinese songs, to Hokkien songs, then to Canto...haha....so fun!!!!

Think it's one of the most enjoyable Mid-Autumn celebrations I've had, other than our WRSS celebrations, where I was always involved in making mooncakes...wahaha....
I miss those times, and as a matter of fact, I miss Mrs Ngoh!!! To think I was so afraid of her last time~~~~

Haha, will post up some pictures another time...

For now, the pictures in Copenhagen. Photo courtesy of many people - Kevin, Cindy, Amanda, Junxiang, Yaoliang and Aiwei...Though I havent gotten pictures from another friend yet, but I decided that if I were to wait longer, I will not have the mood to upload liao...haha, so here I am~~~

On the cruise

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Here are the people who managed to squeeze into the list...haha...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And again, all of us squeezing in a small cabin, trying to eat dinner....wahaha, and of coz playing some games, like murderer, hunter and bear, and the more cheem werewolves game, but it was very fun!!! Just that it's squeezy~~

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And this was how we looked when we went up to the deck at night...It was sooooo windy and cold, but it was very very fun!!!!
I love cruises!!!!
