Was just reading my friend's blog and she mentioned about isolation.
That got me thinking.

Yes, right, thinking again, but I don't see anything wrong with it.
However, I do agree that thinking might not be good. But not thinking aint good as well.
So, perhaps it's just the way how different pple are built or constructed that we get these different characteristics.
There is no right or wrong and nothing is ever good or bad.
We can nvr be so sure about stuffs.

There's this story that I read before.

There was this very curious junior monk who will read all the books in the monastery everyday. Soon, after 3 years, he finished reading all the books.
Then, he went to the senior monk and said that he could take over the classes since he knows everything.
The senior monk then said: "Not yet, not yet."
The junior monk just went away. He then decided to go over all the books again. That took him another 3 years. And he went to the senior monk again to ask the same question.
The senior monk again answered: "Not yet, not yet."
The junior monk then got agitated and asked the senior monk: "I've read the books twice! Why am I still not ready to teach?"
The senior monk then answered: "You will be ready when you no longer feel the urge to teach."

I dunno if you pple understand this, but it took me quite a while to be enlightened by it.

In life, we learn and we know many things. But, do we apply them into our lives?
And that's when we need isolation.
We isolate ourselves, so that we can sit down and think through things.
Isolation can be enjoyable too. At least, it makes us understand ourselves better.
I dunno when have I become so philosophical. Maybe coz of Halim? Haha.

Sometimes, we need people to tell us who we are as well.
We need to hear our names to know that we are still remembered. We need to know that people still knows we exist in this world.
It's this thing called the sense of belonging.
We can choose to isolate ourselves, but yet, we still want to know that we are on their minds. I remembered what my lecturer told me.
Sometimes, we should just keep in contact with people we've not contacted for a long time. It warms the other party's heart to know that you are thinking of him/her at that very moment. It's the same for your parents. We call them, partly coz of responsibility, partly to let them know that we are thinking of them.

Just the other day, my friend said that I am a peace lover and she thinks that it's good. But yet, peace loving makes you forget yourself. You forget your own problems, your own feelings, coz you wanna make people feel better. It is not good for your own development.

And another friend asked me if I had a mind of my own...Hmm, not really. I suppose it depends on who you are dealing with. If it is someone whose feelings you don't care about, then perhaps you would put yourself over the other person. However, if it is someone whose feelings are of importance to you, then you will think twice before insisting on your own thoughts.

I understand that different people have different perspectives of life, coz of the different experiences they have in life. This is what that is special about the world. We are all different and unique in our own ways. I respect these different values that people has and of course, I would hope everyone who reads this can understand that this is my perspective of the world and that I will be given the space to develop.
