The Nikon D60

I've lost touch!
Since I got my D50.
Hahahaha......

I dont look at camera reviews anymore.
Ooops, which is good, means I wont be tempted to buy...
But my D50 is serving me well and I dont really have the time to go out and take pictures...soooooooooo...save the money!

But I am looking at lenses...so try to stop me from looking!
Otherwise, I will be tempted to buy again....

Anyway....welcome to the family.
The Nikon D60, which comes with a kit lens that is quite attractive.

Some people...

Some people are strangers till they are not.
Some people are classmates till they are not.
Some people are friends till they are not.
Some people are lovers till they are not.

The cycle.
In life, we go through these stages over and over again, till we are tired.

As we grow older, we get tired of trying to find new friends. We get tired of building relationships with friends.
When we see differences, we shun away. We keep away. We feel awkward.
When we see similiarities, we assume. We try to mould. We compare.

Maybe it's just me or maybe it's true...
I cant say for sure, but I do feel something brewing, so I'd better stay away from it because not everyone feels the same way.
Other people might be okay with it. But you might not be.
Other people might not be okay with it, but you might be.

I really feel something, but dunno is it cause I am too sensitive.
Hahaha..
Whatever lah....

And I had a great day knocking Eric's and old Jax's safety helmets!

A whole lot of activities...

Thank you everyone who has made my birthday so enjoyable!
It's fantastic to know that friends remembers your important day...
Hahaha....

First off...there was a celebration for Ting姐 last Wed,coz her bdae's just 3 days before mine, and my dear classmates actually celebrated mine together with her...hahaha...
Thanks! But my dear steamy date actually dumped me for her N81...boooo!!!!
Also nvr let me use her phone...bleahs.
Apparently, she says I will be getting a BIG present and hug from her on my birthday.
Present have, but no hug leh....

Then was Thurs and off we go to LHS's house to gamble and gamble...and her mum's really nice! Really like what minmin(havent called her this in a long long time) says about Auntie Loh. So friendly!!!!! Well, had a great time with Captain, Youwen, Minmin, Ting姐，Xiuli and of course LHS. (Just in case you are not aware. LHS = Left Hand Side...hurhur).
Then was going down to Auntie Ailing's place for our annual dinner!
The things she prepared was definitely getting lesser, BUT STILL!
We cannot finish the food!
This year, me and Kiat are so smart....We sat far far away from Auntie...poor Weibin! But you are a growing boy, so you should eat MORE. And trust me....REALLY MORE.
Oh, gambled at Auntie's place again...hehehe...But it was Mahjong this time...Blackjack in the afternn...

Fri was down to Mediacorp for the writing test,which I think most prob I will not get the job, coz they havent called me!!!!! And I was late for the test, luckily they were okay with it...hehehe.Phew!
Next was a hot date with my LHS(mine or someone else's? Hahaha).
Had lunch and then she broke the sad news to me! She cannot join us on my birthday!!!! Awwwwwwwww....I want to hear her sing! So she came up with a very good proposition!

AND TADAH!
OFF WE GO TO KBOX PLAZA!
Had a great 5 hours there with her! Getting high to the tunes of oldies...of course the canto and hokkien songs! Until I seriously did not want to leave for vivo...hahaha
Anyway, still went down to vivo to meet my dearie Ngiam and Aihui and dearie-not Oanne. Hahahaha...
Had a great dinner at ThaiExpress, though I was so full that I almost puked!

Sat was another great day out with my DEAR LAMERZ! President and VP brought me to California Pizza Kitchen, which by the way serves FANTASTIC pizzas to have lunch, but the VP gave me a wrong piece of info about her 'toy fair' in the morning!!!!! I want Monopoly Disney Edition!!!! SObbsssssssss.....but no choice....coz I like my leather(or PVC) Chucks more...hahahaha.
Thanks guys fo the shoes!!!! My 爹，Lamerz01, Lamerz02 and Lamerz04. Love you more than I can say...hehehe....

Afterward we went down to 爹's birthday party at Mera Prime(nice condo with nice swimming pool) to savour the fantastic beehoon with fantastic curry! Yumyum!!!! Auntie can cook for me again????? I am missing the curry already!

Sun was supposed to be a day out with my GJ sistas, but something cropped up, so no choice, had to postpone it. But nevertheless, I still spent a great day out with my lovely darlings, Daddy and Mummy!(The people that matter to me MOST.)

And the BIG DAY!
Had good dim sum in the morning with Xiuli, Ting姐，Eric, SteamyDate, Jax, Kevin, and mysterious guest Tiffany! It's so fun to have piping hot(though not really) dim sum in the morning...
And then, we went for KTV where Minmin joined us!!!!
Coool!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely FUN-TASTIC!

Then went down to Vivo to meet Daddy and Mummy for dinner at Shop Small Two.
And Daddy was so gan cheong to settle the bill, that I cant even use my UOB card to get the 10% discount! Arghh...could have saved ~$8....

And, finally down to today!
Really had a great time with my LHS and Auntie Loh!
Auntie Loh is so much fun to be with!
(To LHS: Tell Auntie she sings very well! Canto songs also very nice, dont have to be paiseh...haha)
And of course my LHS.Hahaha....
Made her go Orchard with me to collect my phone(Which I sent in for repair on Sat) and then coming back to Bishan to eat lunch or Dunch? Hahahaha.
Thanks for sacrificing so much time for me today, though you still have to rush through your FYP up till now....(and I havent started on mine yet...boooo!)

We shall start soon right! FYP-er? Hahahaha

The Big Thing

Yay!!!
I got a reply from one of the company I applied for!!!
Need to go down for a writing test though...

But I am really happy they replied!!!
Means got chance!!!!

But I am still worried about it...Dunno what will the test be about....
Edison's case?
Lydia Sum's death?
Or other stuffs???
Hahaha...Guess I have to wait till Friday then....
And the test is at 9am...so early!!!!

So many dates...

It's going to be a busy period with so many dates to go...

What's up for the week?
Tml - Auntie's place with my darlings
Wed - MS dinner somewhere...haha
Thurs - Dinner at Auntie Ailing's place
Fri - Hot date with Shuang for Sweeny Todd(hopefully it is still showing!)
And within these dates, I still have to find time for the DNV interview, which is scheduled for either Thurs or Fri morning...Yawns...so sian.

Below is the list of things I wanna do...ya, during this period, before I dont get a chance to do so anymore...

1)Meet up with my GJ sisters, coz I really havent met them in a long long time! Jeanie's present is still wrapped up and lying in my wardrobe since Oct last year!

2)A hot date with my LHS. Coz I think I owe her a memorable hot date, coz the movie we watched the other time totally sucked! (I dedicated a post for it, rmb?)

3)Go KTV with my steamy date! It's really been a long time since we last went!!! I miss her crazy antics in KTV and really, anywhere. We have been so caught up with schoolwork and FYP that we do not really spend time like we spend during the attachment period anymore. Saddens!

4)Globalsounds with Huiwen! (Just made that date with her!) Hahaha...I love that place!

5)Anywhere with my Lamerz...haha. Maybe ECP? See how, anywhere would be good!

6)I know I have a date with my JC gang coming up, but I dunno when!!!!!Hehe...date me soon, dearies!!!!!

Finally, I would also want to spend a nice morning out at the pet farm with my darlings!!!!
I love them so much!!!!

Oh, and we finally went to Eric's house! Instead of pai-nian-ing, we were playing mahjong most of the time!!!! Hahaha, dunno if they are still playing right now????
DOnt really expect to see them tml morning, though Missy might be dragged out of bed tml morning...hahaha

When was the last time...

When was the last time that you really read through pages and pages of your friend's blog entries and really feel the saddness and sorrow that your friend felt and that you never know of?

Some things are really not what they seem to be.
Some of your friends may look so cheerful on the outside but they are actually hurting deep down inside their heart and you could have easily found out about it if you just pay a little more attention.
But that's how life it.
A book can never be judged by its cover.

Just a little more attention.

A little more attention is all you need to actually feel how special someone is to you and how the both of you will magically work out.
But it's these little things that we overlook and hence things dont work out.
等你发现，一切都已经太迟了。
因为，时间总是不经意的从你身边溜走。

After reading this friend's blog, I suddenly have so much feelings burning within me.
It's like I dunno there is this big part of me that is happening right in front of my eyes and I just dont see it. Or I am not sensitive to it.

Most humans are stingy.
With words.
They do not vocalize their love for people around them.
这个道理很简单。
简单到人人都把它给遗忘。

They also do not vocalize their pain.
Because we fear rejection.
We fear people might not want to listen to our problems.
We fear to trouble people.
We fear people cannot help to solve our problem.
We fear people do not understand.
Or you are simply afraid of appearing to be vulnerable in front of these people you share your problems with?

Humans are such complicated species.
We have a thousand and one feelings.
Yet we do not have a thousand and one words to describe these feelings.
How to find that someone who understands what are you feeling exactly?

Anyway, I shouldnt dwell on these feelings,considering it's my MT4352 quiz tml...

Waiting...

FOR A DREADED AND USELESS TUTORIAL.

I seriously dunno what am I doing here...
In fact, I like the module.
BUT THE TEACHER PISSES ME OFF.

Maybe it's his 'virtue', to pretend to be someone who is democratic, but keeps encouraging us to bring our thoughts forward( coz that's what pretence is all about).

Anyway, the test today was crap.
He said Chapter 5 is not tested. Okay, so we never study chapter 5.
But he asked about a term that appeared in chapter 5.
So I went to clarify with him and asked if Chpt 5 is included. He said No, then i asked him so how come RACON appeared there?

Then he said he mentioned in class before.

OH!Come on!
You mentioned so many things before and you expect us to remember whether you mentioned it before the lecture notes or not?
That's such a lame excuse.

And it's not like his notes are perfect.
Seriously, his notes suck.

They are full of crappy repetitive pictures and DUPLICATED slides.
Such a waste of ink if we really print everything out.
So I've learnt to QC his slides before printing them out, coz he loves putting 2 additional slides at the back.

Slide 1 - "QUESTIONS?" (With a half paged, coloured picture of question marks.)
Slide 2 - "Thank you and Good Luck"
I understand where you are coming, but come on...such cliche slides are REDUNDANT.

OH! And thanks to Jax, I managed to know where he got his wordy and boring slides from.

The amazing things that happened...And the bad.

First up...
It's amazing how my dogs grew up to be such beautiful darlings...
It's amazing to know how long they sleep everyday...
It's amazing to see their faces right in front of you when you wake up...
It's amazing how they managed to grow right into our hearts and be there forever...

I was just looking at their photos that I took in the past and realise that they look so much better now, expecially Twinkle darling...Of course, Elmo looks good too.

Next up...
It's amazing to think about all the people that has an impact on everyone's life.
Off the top of my head, the late Miss Ashidah.
Then,Mdm Chan, Mr Gan, Mrs Ngoh and friends who have made me what I am today.
Of course, my family too.

Thirdly...
It's amazing to see the big difference in quality of pictures between a DSLR and a compact camera.
Hahaha...

And for the amazingly bad things that happened.

I know many people heard this before, but I am going to mention it on my blog again.
SO, there was this career fair in NTU last Wednesday and Thursday. And I went on both days.

On Thurs, I went there early. So this big 'CLAM' Tankers, situated right at the entrance of the exhibition hall of the Auditorium,had a few people. Seeing that it might offer some jobs related to my studies, Eric and me decided to go and ask about the career opportunities.
We were told that they only positions in the commercial side and not the technical (apparently people thinks Maritime Studies are technical...hehe, I would think so too if I am not in the course.)So,she gave us a notebook and told us to go to the website to look for new technical positions that might be posted up in the future.
Okie, I took the book and we left.
At the other end of the booth(same 'CLAM' Tankers booth), there was this stand that had some brochures. Wanting to know more about the positions that they offer, I wet in to take the brochures. That's when this guy turned around and approached us and asked if there's anything he can do to help.
So I passed Eric the brochure that I took and he talked to the guy. I took another brochure(introducing the commercial positions) and when I reached out to take another brochure(introducing the technical positions), this fierce lady walked over and asked, "EXCUSE ME, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
And she snatched the brochure from my hands. I was like, DUHHH. What was I doing? I am taking your brochure OBVIOUSLY.
But I still answered her politely, I said I was trying to see what positions they have to offer.
Again, she asked," NO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Double DUHHHHHHHHH...Come on, what is this girl thinking? That I am stealing your brochures?
I thought she meant what course I am doing,so I said," You see, I am taking a degree in Maritime Studies and I wanted to see what positions you have to offer."
"NO,we do not have any positions for Maritime Studies. Maybe you can go to this website to see for yourself." Then she handed me another notebook.
"It's okay, I already have that. I dont need it." Then I turned away. Seriously, I was 'boiling' lor. It's like WTF. Her attitude sucks man. WHAT AM I DOING AT A CAREER FAIR? To look for a job obviously. And what is she doing at a career fair when she scares off everyone with her riduculously rude attitude? What are the HR people thinking? 'CLAM' Tankers should really reconsider sending her to career fairs in the future.

Oh, after Eric finished talking to the guy, he passed me the brochure and I put it back on the stand. NOT AT ALL interested in 'CLAM' Tankers after this incident. Now, when I see their yellow logo, i get pissed off.

Why did they even want to put the brochures when you dont want people to take?
Anyway, she pissed me off so much that I decided to return the notebook that I took initially.

By the way, I was not the only one that got her bad attitude. Linda went to that booth too. She took the notebook for herself and when she reached out to take another book for her fren, the same attitude problem(AP) lady OIIIIIIII her.
Then her other fren went to ask what jobs they have for Electrical Engineering students, she said again, "WE DO NOT HAVE JOBS FOR YOU."
Alright, thanks for being frank.

I feel totally disgusted by her.

Phew, finally managed to get it out on my blog.
